Our Story
Alan Snow Agricultural Engineers Ltd was founded in 1982, beginning humbly from the back of a van with a clear passion for agricultural machinery and a commitment to serving local farmers. What started as a small repair business has grown into one of the most respected and longest-serving agricultural machinery dealerships in the South West of England.
Alan Snow’s journey into agricultural engineering began early. Raised in a farming family, Alan quickly realised his true passion lay with tractors rather than milking cows. After leaving school, he completed an apprenticeship with Fulford Trumps Agricultural Engineers. At just 25 years old, he launched his own business from home in Thornbury, earning a strong reputation through quality service and word-of-mouth recommendations.
In 1989, the business relocated to Sutcombe near Holsworthy, allowing space for a dedicated workshop. By 1992, Alan Snow Agricultural Engineers was awarded the full Fendt distribution franchise, marking a major milestone. Over the following years, steady growth, dedication, and industry knowledge positioned the company as a trusted name among farmers across Devon and Cornwall.
Today, the company operates from modern, purpose-built depots in Holsworthy (Devon) and Tolvaddon (Cornwall), proudly representing world-class agricultural and utility machinery brands while continuing to serve farming communities with the same passion that started it all.
